Weekend@Melaka – a UNESCO heritage city

After stopping for lunch at Tampin KFC, we proceeded to Bandar Melaka. The last time we were here was in 2005, when my father-in-law was seeking alternative treatment at Klinik Dr. Ishak. The clinic was located at the car entrance of Jonker’s Walk night market. Anyway, a lot has changed since then and the Melaka city and people were indeed proud of getting the UNESCO Heritage city title.

Our last KTMB from Tanjong Pagar Railway Station

22 April 2011, 0800hrs, Tanjong Pagar Railway Station.
This historic station will be handed over back to Singapore government on 1st July 2011.
We decided to take a trip on the train ride before it’s gone to the history books.
Picture above was taken at the Roti Canai shop. In Singapore it is called Roti Prata instead.
View from inside to Tanjong Pagar Road.
The platform and the HDB blocks in the background. Those are typically 5-room blocks.

Processing to Vintage

Not owning an iPhone prevented me from using Hipstamatic which is all the rage now. Worse was the fact that you cannot “Hipstamatize” from a picture file. I did read somewhere it is in the pipeline though by the founder.

Anyway, I research for a quick easy alternative.

And after a few, I do like the Poladroid. Of course it is free, though Paul Ladroid do prefer big donations.

Here is a sample I took. Notice the fingerprint? It did make me peer into my camera lens if it needed cleaning. Nice touch though.
